hmm....another ministry day?

Well, it´s been an excellent trip so far. Thanks for the support, it means so much. Today was another routine day where we worked with a local church to put on the drama in a few places and raise awareness about the church. Despite three people in the drama being sick, the rest of us were able to cover very well. We really need prayers for health, because almost everyone is sick or coming down with something. Most of it is just colds, but still no fun. Our scedule doesn´t allow for much sleep, and we are all dehydrated because the baños (¡hah!¡I just used a funky n!) out at our ministry sites are slightly less than clean.

I think the most moving moment I´ve seen so far was on the night of the fourth, when an Iraqi man came to speak to us. He once was in the inner circle of Suddam Hussain´s guards, but then became a Christian and left for Peru. His family is in Canada, but he is having legal troubles going there, so please pray for him to be able to join them. Anyway, I digress. The moving moment was when a retired Air Force pilot who served in the middle East prayed for him. It was shocking to think that they would have killed each other a few years ago, but here they were united in Christ in Peru. It really made me see the peace and unity that Christ can bring.

Peace and love, Hannah

Hi Hannah,
That is really neat about the retired Air Force pilot and the Iraqi guard - you are right about the peace and reconciliation that Jesus brings.
I'll bet your group is a real encouragement to the churches and ministries you visit. I'm sorry that several on your team are struggling with illness - you are all in my prayers. May God bless you all. We miss you.

Hey Hannah!
What an exciting trip already! I was so thrilled to read your story about the Iraqi man who used to be in the inner circle with Saddam Hussein. Isn't that just a wonderful way to see the providence of God? Here is a man who has seen more than his share of horror, but seeks to know God -- and to top it off, an American military man prayed for him. That is just such an amazing story of the Holy Spirit working in the lives of each and every one of us irregardless of heritage and nationality. I guess your Dad would say that's the gentle working of the Holy Spirit (that's his sermon series right now!). In this situation it was gentle, but also a very bold witness of the Holy Spirit!

Thanks for continuing to share your story. We will keep praying for you and your team -- and that the Holy Spirit will move in the lives of those you touch.

Hi Hannah,
Sounds like things are as you would say, "Amazing!" Sounds like God is using you and your team to do His work. I pray that God will give your team the health that everyone needs to continue. You are doing amazing work. Keep it up and make sure you get rest when you can. Missed you Sunday night at Youth Group. Can't wait to hear/read more.
Blessings,
Nancy

Hi Hannah!
Amazing! Only God can pull to opposites together! How cool! What a bummer with the colds. We will continue to pray for the health of all of you. I am sure despite everything that God is working in and through you to the churches you are at. Can't wait to hear more!
Hugs!
